Abstract
Purpose: This work aimed to study the effect of organizational factors including organizational culture, organizational structure, education, human resources, flow of information and communication, information technology, and transparency of documents on the performance of knowledge management, and the components of knowledge production, saving knowledge, applying knowledge, and transfer and sharing of knowledge in the education system of Malekan city (Iran).
Methodology: The research population of this applied survey included 214 personnel of Malekan city’s education system who were selected by stage random sampling. The data required were collected by questionnaire (the total of 143 questionnaire were finally collected) and analyzed by using the Multiple Regression Test.
Findings: According to the findings of this research, the variables of organizational culture, education and information technology have positive effects on the performance of knowledge management, while other variables including human resources showed positive effect on this regard only in the component of knowledge production. The remaining variables had also statistically insignificant correlation with the performance of knowledge management and its components.
Originality/Value: Since the majority of researches concluded on knowledge management so far have been in such areas as business and profit organizations, the importance of this research, which was concluded in the area of education, could not be overlooked.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the present article is comparatively study of the organizational culture in Tehran city public and university libraries and its relationship with the user’s satisfaction.
Method: This research is an applied type research conducted by a descriptive survey method. Research population includes three groups of librarians, managers of Tehran city public and university libraries, and library users. Among the public libraries (affiliated to the public libraries foundation), those libraries were selected which had at least three librarians. A total of 22 public libraries and 11 university libraries were selected. Among the users of university libraries, 383 users and among the users of public libraries, 381 users were selected randomly as the samples. Organizational culture questionnaires were prepared based on Kameron and Quinn’s competing values framework model. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics including Mann-Vitney and Spearman correlation tests.
Findings: Based on the research findings, the prevailing organizational culture in Tehran city public libraries is an ethnicity organizational culture and the university libraries culture is a hierarchal culture. There was no significant difference between Tehran city public libraries and university libraries from the point of view of organizational culture. No significant relationship was observed between public libraries users’ satisfaction and the type of organizational culture of these libraries, but the relationship was significant (0.66) between university libraries users’ satisfaction and the type of organizational culture of these libraries.
Originality/Value: Till now, there has been no comparative study ever conducted on the organizational culture and the relationship between organizational culture and users’ satisfaction in Iran libraries and in the library and information studies.

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of the present research is to identify the organizational culture in the organization of documents and the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran by using Robin’s model.
Method: The research method is an analytical survey method. The population consists of 609 staff members of the organization of documents and national library of Iran who have at least an associate degree. The means of collecting data were demographic characteristics questionnaires with 8 questions and Robin’s standard organizational culture questionnaires with 30 questions. By using these questionnaires, the views of 416 staff members in the mentioned organization were collected.
Findings: Based on the research findings, the organizational culture in the organization of documents and the national library with the average of 2.85 on the Likert scale was at a medium level. The findings also showed that there was no significant relationship between organizational culture and the variables of gender, marital status, and staff’s age. Among the components of organizational culture, a positive and significant relationship was observed between the "identity", "reward system", and "compromise with conflict phenomenon" on one hand and "work experience" on the hand in the organization of documents and national library. In general, the relationship of organizational culture with work experience in organization of documents and national library was "positive and significant". A positive and significant relationship was observed between “leadership”, “integrity” and “management support”, among other organizational culture components, on one hand and “education in library science course” on the other hand.
Originality/Value: Organizational culture is an intangible factor, but effective in conducting and controlling behavior of organization members. Since the national library has a special mission in preserving and expanding culture and disseminating information in society, study of cultural organization of the organization under study and its relation with employees’ demographic characteristics can help managers to identify deficiencies and pave the ways for planning in order to improve organizational culture which increases employees’ satisfaction, productivity, and utility in organization.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the present article is the Investigation on the relationship between organizational culture and quality of services in the libraries affiliated to Iran Public Libraries Foundation in the Mashhad city.
Methodology: This research was based on survey research method. The populations under question include employees and users of Mashhad city public libraries. For the extraction of significant results, this research carried out in the libraries with more than 3 librarians. Thus, According to the information received from the Department of Public Libraries of Mashhad city, 16 libraries were selected. These libraries have 56 employees that all of them formed the sample with by considering census method sampling. Among the users, due to its large population, we used stratified – random sampling and based on Krejcie & Morgan, we selected 379 users as sample. The research data was collected with two standard questionnaires. To this end, we used organizational culture questionnaire based on Denison Model and quality of services questionnaire based on Libqual Model.
Findings: The results indicated that although organizational culture score was further than dead line, but the public libraries organizational culture was far from ideal. Based on the research findings, all traits of Denison Organizational Culture Model except “Empowerment” (Involvement, Adaptability, Consistency and Mission), had low average. Towards the quality of services in public libraries, scores of dimensions of “affect of service” and “library as place” were above average and score of dimension of “information control” had low average. However, findings indicated that from user perspective, there was a meaningful difference between services offered and services expected. Based on the averages, offered services were lower than services expected. Furthermore, results showed that there was not meaningful relationship between traits of organizational culture and dimensions of quality of services. The only correlation was a inverse relationship between trait of “consistency” and dimension of “information control and quality of services”.
Originality/Value: this research tried as a preliminary research to investigate the correlation between organizational culture and quality of services in public libraries of Iran. With regard to the results, this research originally indicated that the organizational culture was not penetrated in the services offered with public libraries.

Abstract
Purpose: The present paper mainly aims to identify the relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management in Kermanshah province public libraries.
Methodology: this research implemented by survey method. Data collection instruments to measure the study variables include: 1) Dennison Organization Culture Questionnaire to measure organizational culture in indices such as involvement, adaptability, mission and integration. Knowledge Management Questionnaire as a comprehensive and standardized questionnaire in the area of knowledge management. Based on the most recent statistics until the end of November 2013, the community of study was composed of 85 librarians in Kermanshah public libraries. By considering the limited number of these librarians, sampling method was not used, and the total population of the study was studied, i.e. census method was used. Finally, 82 questionnaires were collected. To analyze data, inferential and descriptive statistics was applied. In the descriptive statistics level, some indices including frequency, median and mean was used and in inferential statistics, indices such as Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test for single sample and normality test for Kolmogorov Smirnov was used.
Findings: findings indicated that the level of organizational culture and knowledge management in Kermanshah public libraries was average and there was a significant relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management. Also, there was a significant relationship between involvement, adaptability, mission and integration and knowledge management. Finally, there was no significant difference between dimensions of organizational culture and knowledge management, based on the demographic variables (gender, age, education, work experience, etc).
Originality/Value: On the basis of this research, we can approvingly state that for the creation and improvement of knowledge management tools in Iran Public Libraries Foundation, Organizational Culture is a meaningful factor that most be considered across the policy making and implementation.

Abstract
Purpose: This study investiges the level of organizational Sociability among librarians in comparison with organizational socialization of other staff in the organization of libraries, museums and documents center of Astane Qudse Razavi.
Methodology: The present study was conducted through a survey method. The statistical population of this study consisted of all employees (including 625 librarians and non-librarians). Using a Cochran formula, a sample of 238 people was selected by stratified random sampling. Finally, 215 questionnaires were completed and collected. The research tool was a questionnaire of 20 questions of Taurinma's organizational socialization (1997). Data were analyzed using one-sample t-test and stepwise regression.
Findings: The results showed that there are significant differences in subscales of education and future prospects of librarians in comparison with other staff. Level of organizational socialization among librarians is more than other staff in the organization of libraries, museums and documents center of Astane Qudse Razavi.
value/originality: This study highlights the importance of the organizational socialization in the success of organizations and libraries. This is the first research that investigates the level of librarians organizational socialization in comparison with other staff. According to the findings, the high level of organizational socialization of librarians indicates that the sub scale of organizational socialization, education and future prospects are strong predictors for increasing organizational socialization. Finally, the level of librarians' organizational socialization appeared to be related to having homogenous society and expert staff.

Abstract
Purpose: To identify the indicators of entrepreneurial organizational culture, to construct and validate its measurement tool in Iran public libraries foundation.
Methodology: This is an applied research in terms of purpose and a descriptive-correlational one in terms of nature and type of research. The study population included all the librarians of public libraries foundation from provincial capitals of Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Kermanshah and Birjand (who numbered 385) from whom a sample of 191 librarians were selected randomly based on Krejcie and Morgan’s Table and the multistage cluster sampling method. Validity of the tool was calculated by content validity, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability of the tool was measured by using Cronbach's alpha and the split-half method was 0.89 , which was 0.89 for Cronbach's alpha, 0.82 for odd items, and 0.78 for even items.
Findings: Based on the research findings, the indicators of entrepreneurial organizational culture in Iran public libraries foundation and their relevant factor loads are as follows: organizational enthusiasm (0.46); cooperation and extra-organizational communications (0.70); continuous learning and support for development (0.62); cohesiveness and systematic approach (0.52); policymaking and planning for the opportunity for change (0.72) library services and marketing (0.68). The results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the validity and reliability of the tool. Finally, in view of the desired psychometric features of entrepreneurial organizational culture, this tool can be used as a valid tool in the relevant studies.
Originality/value: Our literature review revealed that no study has been conducted into the identification, construction and validation of the indicators of entrepreneurial organizational culture of Iran public libraries foundation

Abstract
Purpose: Identification of the effective organizational culture is one of the necessities of organizational culture management in any organization. This study is intended to design the effective organizational culture pattern of public libraries in Iran.
Methodology: This is a qualitative study conducted by using the grounded theory method. By purposive sampling, 23 of librarians and managers of public libraries in 10 provinces were interviewed using depth and semistructured interviews. The data analysis was performed by theoretical coding (open, axial and selective coding). In the axial coding, core category was determined and in selective coding, final model was presented. Causes, intervening conditions, contexts, main strategies, and the main consequences of crisis management in libraries was presented in the model.
Findings: Based on the data from the research, 6 categories and 16 subcategories were identified as the dimensions and components of effective organizational culture in public libraries. The causal conditions preparing the ground for the explanation of the effective organizational culture in public libraries as the core category include: decrease in the number of users, reduction of employees' motivation, Failure to achieve the goals and roles, and the tendency for cyberspace. Conditions affecting the codification of strategies include: user's diversity, diversity of needs, being cultural, public and non-profit. Finaly, the outcome of the implementation of the said strategies are attracting users and social sublimity.
Originality/value: The value of this paper is that it draws the attention of managers and researchers involved in the public libraries management to the fact that they must take into consideration the dimensions and components of effective organizational culture in managing the public libraries.
