Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the present research is to study the factors that affect the high school users’ information needs in the public libraries of Mashhad city affiliated to the general office of public libraries foundation based on individual, social, educational, and religious factors.
Method: The research method is a survey method, and the statistical population includes all high school users in the mentioned libraries. Based on Kerjcie and Morgan’s sample size table, 346 users were selected as the research sample. The data were collected by giving a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were calculated by factor analysis and Cronbach’s Alpha co-efficient. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive (frequency, percentage, mean, median, and standard deviation) and inferential (single variable, T-test, and MANOVA multi variables variance analysis) statistics.
Findings: The findings showed that individual and educational factors have the most influence on public libraries users’ information needs and social while economic factors have less influence than the two previous factors, and religious factor has the least influence with the average of 3.98%.
Originality/Value: In case the students’ information needs are identified, it can be useful to provide them with the necessary resources and increase their interest in library environments. In order to achieve these goals, this study was to determine the role of each effective individual, social, economic, and religious factors in youth and students’ information needs. The results of this study can be used for planning libraries and other learning centers

Abstract
Purpose: to investigate effectiveness of information counseling on informational seeking behavior in finding research resources in public libraries of Fould Shar in Isfahan province.
Method: this is an experimental research that compares the results of pre-test and post test of experiment and control group after information counseling. The population was the members of Fouldshar Shahid Tavakoli library. 36 members were randomly selected and put them in two groups. 5 sessions of 90 minutes were held for experiment group. Researcher designed questionnaire was used for data gathering . Data were analyzed using independent t test with SPSS software.
Findings: results indicated that there were significant differences between the two groups in terms of students’ scores regarding the pre and post test between two experimental and control group. information counseling courses had three positive effects on library users such as accessibility to research resources, improving users’ information seeking behaviors and leaving positive effect on users ‘attitudes.
Originality/Value: The present research indicated the importance and effect of information counseling courses seeking behavior.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of studying electronic interactive books on creativity, interest and self-efficacy of primary school's students, in the range of 9-12 years old, who are users of Honar & Andisheh public library of Fouladshar, Iran. The peripheral purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of gender on the creativity, self-efficacy and interest of students.
Methodology: The methodology of the research was semi-experimental, based on measuring the effect of independent variable on behavior of single control group through observing student's behaviors in each session and comparing the results of pre-test and post-test. The population of the research was primary school's students who use Honar & Andisheh public library of Fouladshar in the range of 9-12 years old. Among this population, 20 male and female students were selected randomly. Researcher-made questionnaire was used for data gathering in pre and post test. A pre-test was taken from the mentioned group at the beginning of the process. Then, the group members read two electronic interactive books during ten sessions as interference. After completing 10 sessions, the post-test was taken again by questionnaire from the group.
Findings: Based on point of view of students presented in questionnaires, the results indicated that reading electronic interactive books cause the increasing in creation rate, reading interest and self-efficacy. Further, gender has not meaningful effect on the creativity, self-efficacy and reading interest of students.
Originality/Value: Value of this research is in the confirmation and emphasis on the importance of studying electronic interactive books as one of the most important information transferring media in public libraries that have significant influence on the creativity, self-efficacy, and reading interest.
