Studying the extent and factors affecting users' satisfaction with the online services of the information units of the central libraries of Tarbiat Modares University and the University of Tehran

Abstract
The main objective of this study is to investigate the level and factors affecting users' satisfaction with the online services of the information units of the central libraries of Tarbiat Modares University and the University of Tehran. To determine the level of satisfaction and the factors affecting it, factors such as the speed of information receipt, the up-to-dateness of information, the number of records retrieved, the number of times databases are used, the relevance of the information received, familiarity with how to search in databases, and guidance and search by the librarian were used. The present study was conducted using a descriptive survey method and the required information was collected through a questionnaire. Based on the results of the analysis of the findings, most respondents considered the speed of information receipt, the up-to-dateness of information, the number of records retrieved, the relevance of the information received, familiarity with how to search in databases, and the number of times databases are used to be effective in their satisfaction. Also, most respondents were inclined to perform the search themselves. Finally, suggestions are provided for improving the continuous services of these information units, as well as suggestions for future research.
