A checklist which consisted of 32 criteria was used. In addition, we consulted the experts in the studied fields. The population under study included the records in database of “Iran’s theses abstracts” (74,500 records) during 1989-2006. Also, there is significant relationship in different fields and different time intervals in consistency between the extracted keywords and the descriptors. Higher rate of retrieval through descriptors in comparison with the keywords extracted from abstracts revealed the efficiency of works which have been performed in this database in order to increase the relationships between descriptors of the same subject.</span><br style="color: #000000; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 11pt; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; vertical-align: baseline;">یافته­ ها نشان داد که بین تعداد گروه­های کلیدواژه­ای چکیده پایان­نامه­ ها و هم­خوانی آن­ها با توصیفگرها و همچنین بین تعداد کلیدواژه­های مستخرج و تعداد توصیفگرها نیز رابطه معنی‌داری وجود دارد. در حوزه­های موضوعی مختلف و همچنین دوره­های زمانی مختلف بین هم­خوانی کلیدواژه­های مستخرج با توصیفگرها تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود دارد. بازیابی بیش­تر از طریق توصیفگرها در مقایسه با کلیدواژه‌های مستخرج از چکیده، اثربخشی طرح‌هایی را نشان داد که به‌منظور افزایش ارتباط بین توصیفگرهای هم‌موضوع در این پایگاه صورت گرفته است. از نظر نظام دستوری، 26/50 درصد توصیفگرها به‌صورت ترکیب­واژه، 74/49 درصد تک­واژه، 2/93 درصد مفرد و 8/6 درصد به‌صورت جمع تهیه شده­اند.</span></span></span><br style="color: #000000;
