Aim and Scope

The journal of Research on Information Science and Public Libraries (RISPL) as a leading journal in the field of public libraries and book reading covers a wide range of perspectives, research approaches, and mixed methods, quantitative, qualitative, evaluation, analytical, and case studies to cover all aspects of public libraries and book reading.
    The journal of Research on Information Science and Public Libraries (RISPL) publishes research and review articles related to public libraries and book reading. The aims of the journal of Research on Information Science and Public Libraries (RISPL) are: 1) to publish the results of scientific research in the field of public libraries; 2) to improve the level of research and institutionalize research in the field of public libraries; 3) to expand specialized knowledge in the field of public libraries; 4) to publish new ideas to meet the scientific and research needs of public libraries; and 5) to publish the results of the research activities of public librarians and information specialists in the field of public libraries.
    Subject areas suitable for publication in the journal of Research on Information Science and Public Libraries (RISPL) include, but are not limited to the following fields:

  • Best practices and models to improve information services in public libraries;

  • Book reading, digital reading, digital natives, and born-digital reading;

  • Information and communication technologies in public libraries work in practice;

  • Innovative, high-quality programs for children and young adults;

  • Marketing public library services, public library marketing, and fund-raising tools that work;

  • Public access technologies in public libraries;

  • Public library budget and financial analysis tools and tips; and

  • Public library management case studies-with results and failures.
