Abstract:   (3123 Views)
One of these documents is the Islamic-Iranian model of progress. In this document as well other high-level state documents, one can hardly find the word or even concept of knowledge and information science (KIS). This is mostly because the professionals in KIS discipline did not accomplish their function and therefore, although Iran suffers from the lack of real concept of storage and retrieval, the KIS professionals do not have any real concept of this discipline.
Therefore, the specialists in KIS must take major steps in order to renovate their activities as well as their theoretical concepts such as: Rereading the world and Iranian history of KIS, the strategic principles for development of KIS, the development process of KIS after the Islamic Revolution, the identity, the principles and rules of KIS, the quantity and quality in KIS, the critical review and analysis of KIS in terms of application, occupation, orientation, impact, famous figures, and institutions and so on.
