Objective: Intellectual capital plays an important role in the managerial, technical, social and economic development. Therefore, the present study aimed to identify the relationship between the components of intellectual capital (human, structural and relational) and employee performance in public libraries of Western Azarbaijan province.
Methodology: The current research method was Descriptive-Correlational with applied purpose. The sample is consisted of 199 staff of West Azarbaijan province's public libraries. To collect data was used from Bontis standard questionnaires to measure intellectual capital management and Achieve questionnaire to assessment performance of staff. Normality of data was established at confidence level of %95 by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Information obtained by using SPSS software was analyzed with descriptive and inferential methods.
Findings: The results of linear regression analysis showed that there are significant relationship between human capital and structural capital to employee performance in level p=0.005 and p=0.023 respectively. But the results showed no significant relational capital as at p=0.85. The latest findings also positive and significant relationship between the achieve seven factors on the productivity performance of employee, it was reported for respectively: Motivation %87.8, Ability %85.2 Evaluation %82.7, Clarity %82.6, Help %82.3, Validity %81.4 and Environment.
Conclusion: The results indicate that the efficiency and effectiveness of public libraries in Western Azarbaijan province requires more attention to human and structure capitals and eliminate barriers to improve relational capital (client). Also, motivation was introduced as a one of the major factor in employee productivity.
